The Problem
Our wish is to improve the health and well being of the students, families and community residents in Rosemead by bringing gardens to their school.
Our Plan
Students and community members will build and create 16 large raised beds located on the Rosemead High School grounds into a vegetable and herb garden. Students will work with the culinary arts teacher to expand their knowledge of utilizing the crops and integrate healthy cooking and eating in the school. Students will also distribute the overflow of produce to local homeless shelters and families in the community, making organic produce accessible for the neighborhood.
