The Problem
Climate change is currently creating natural disasters and other negative environmental impacts, but there are still those who deny its scientifically proven existence.

Our club is collaborating with Amnesty Hamilton to participate in the Global Day of Climate Action (by Fridays for Future on 9/25/2020) to do an in-person at Alexander Hamilton High School and a virtual strike separately. Our goal is to raise awareness about global warming and to pressure those in power to make decisions that help (not hurt) the environment. We will be organizing a virtual strike following #FridaysForFuture. The virtual strike will include a photograph of the participant doing the MAPA (Most Affected People and Areas) pose with their hands, the picture at the bottom of this description. We will make a photograph collage with Amnesty Hamilton to post on social media. Please send the pictures to the Amnesty Hamilton Instagram whose handle is at the end of this description. The in-person strike will be from 1:00pm-6:00pm PST with homemade climate action signs (see Fridays for Future website for ideas). We are collaborating with Hamilton Amnesty club to protest, physically distant and with masks, to raise awareness.
