The children of Kids Express After School would like to provide the gift of a goat for a family of a impoverished country needing the food and benefits a goat can provide. Kids Express Learning Center is a nature center with farm animals, veggie gardens, and a "Summer on the Farm" program. Because our children love our goats and feed them often, they know what a blessing a goat can be.
The children's gardens at Kids Express are producing a good harvest this summer and the children are raising money to "adopt" a goat by selling some of their produce to families at Kids Express Learning Center. The children ages 4-8 will hold weekly mini farmers markets on the school grounds. The hope is to raise $120.00 for the price of a goat through Heifer International. We have held several farmers markets already this summer and expect to earn the money by the end of the month of September. The children will name the goat and receive email updates about where the goat was placed. Additionally, Heifer International's website provides information about goats and a picture of their sponsored goat.
