The Problem
Our school’s native Florida plant garden aims to address the loss of natural habitats and declining biodiversity caused by urban development and the use of nonnative landscaping. As Florida continues to grow, native plants and the wildlife that depend on them lose important sources of food and shelter. By planting species native to Florida, we can create a habitat that supports local pollinators, birds, and other wildlife while helping preserve the area's natural ecosystem. This garden will also educate students about the importance of native plants and encourage more environmentally sustainable practices in our school community.
