We hope to help the children in the school become aware of the importance of recycling for their plane and clean up and make the ground a better environment for plants to live in, spread the message to their families, and continue it as they grow.
Our project will raise awareness around our school about the importance of recycling, promote healthy eating, and gardening in low-income neighborhoods in Bronx, NY. We have created recycling bins to collect plastic bottles to recycle in and around the school. We will use the bottles to make plant pots and teach the students about recycling and planting to improve their environment. We even made fliers and posters for our school and community with facts and information that we learned about recycling and its importance. We are working to provide a social tool that will allow younger generations to engage in issues affecting their overall health and wellness.
