To bring awareness to Special Needs, providing resources to combat Health Disparities in the community and restore the Minnie B. Veal Community Center in Edison, NJ
Our Plan
Kids Need Support 2 Garden and Site Restoration will bring awareness, provide resources to children with many health disparities to combat their diseases, by cleaning the grounds, recycling, maintaining our gardens, painting, sanitizing the grounds for our Get Fit Program and Healing Gardens to succeed. We will take the food from the gardens, each child sits with the nutritionist to learn how to eat healthy and promote overall wellness. The children will cook the foods in the kitchen with a chef, who will teach them the purpose for gardening, living well and budgeting. The children will take foods to a local food pantry / shelter to combat malnutrition issues in the community. This will assist in our efforts to engage our community in Wellness programs, Awareness to Special Needs, and Building Stronger Communities overall.
