The Problem
To teach a sport to other teenagers around Green School Community community whilst having a meaningful language-exchange experience.
Our Plan
The Middle School students designed a bi-lingual Game Sheet (English and Bahasa Indonesian) that included basic rules of the game and extra vocabulary used when playing. After one week of in-school training, the Middle School students starting taking ‘Frisbee Terbaik’ to other schools in our community. The game days included: introductory ‘how to catch and throw a frisbee’, small-groups rules session, a mixed game, and a full game of ‘them vs us’ (and they usually won!).
