The Problem
The goal of my project is to show that knowledge of mathematics can be useful in understanding and protecting our environment. Using fractal geometry, we can better understand plants, trees, mountain ridges, rivers, self-similar structure of coastlines, clouds, etc. I think, the more we understand nature, the more respect we show endangered plants and animals in their natural habitats.
