Here is how the project went:

It was challenging because of the school shutting down for COVID-19. Our entire project revolved around in-person interactions and sharing food. Luckily Roots&Shoots understood, so our project shifted focus to plant and grow food and to discuss where the items are native to with the students.

Through this project I/we learned:

Keep moving forward, we'll learn and grow together! Also, it is important to reach out and discuss challenges with others, in this case Emily Rhodes was helpful and encouraging.

What I/we might change:

Nothing. I really liked the initial project idea and would love to give it another go after Covid.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

Coming up with a successful adaptation for our project that students are interested in. Specifically, they helped choose what we planted and will continue to plant.

Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

I just want to say thanks again to Roots and Shoots for believing in our initial project and being flexible with the adjustments. I would really love to give the original project another try after COVID.
