The Problem

The goal of this project to help feed animals, both domestic and wild that live in our community. The children have chosen to help provide dog treats to dogs that are in service to help people. They also seek to help our winter woodland birds that reside on our 9 acres of school grounds.

Our Plan

The children will make bird feeders and bake doggie treats during the last two weeks of January. The bird feeders will be Cheerios strung on pipe cleaners shaped like a heart. They will donate the doggie treats to a program called "Friends of Noah". The dogs help handicapped and elderly people in need of companionship. The "Friends of Noah" will visit with a service dog during the month of February and speak to the children about the benefits and how to care for dogs.
