The Problem

Less and less types of material are being recycled. Recycling is becoming a hard practice and people are giving up on doing it. We want to raise awareness about recycling options and make it easier for people to recycle different items.

Our Plan

We chose to address this issue by making cards of specific products that can be recycled and giving those out or displaying them at the product acquisition point so people will know where to recycle the packaging once the product is over. We would like to start with cards for toothpaste tubes, toothbrushes and dental floss containers. Dentists give away a bag with those after each cleaning is done. We would add a card with recycling information to that bag. For grocery stores, a similar card would be placed on the shelf of those products to inform the public about their recycling option.
