The Problem

Evacuation Education is the title of our Roots and Shoots campaign. After mapping out our community we found we are close to a Nuclear Power Plant. Our short term goal is to educate every Summit Schools family on their evacuation route out of the city, in case of an emergency. Our long term goal is to educate 90-100% of the adult population in Cedar Rapids, IA of their evacuation route out of the city, in case of an emergency.

Our Plan

We have until May 27th to get the word out to our community. We will hold a fundraiser to earn money for materials needed to complete our campaign. We will create persuasive fliers and mail them out to our community, we will also use the news and editorials in the newspaper to help spread the word. We hope to even get a billboard on a main street that a lot of people will see.
