The Problem

B.Youth's wish for this project would be to spread awareness of the crucial importance of protecting critically endangered wildlife in Malaysia to school children. To do this in a creative and fun way by using recycled materials to make drawings and life size sculptures of the endangered animals .

Our Plan

The outcome of this project would be an exhibition of artworks by school children on Berjaya Founder's Day March 2016. Starting from September 2015 - December 2015, there will be talks by NGOs (Green Turtle Conservation Society, Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, Orangutan Appeal UK). We will also be conducting art workshops with volunteer from Roots&Shoots Malaysia and B.Youth to go into schools and help kids with their art projects alongside with the process of collecting art materials (recycled items). All these would involve hopefully, 12 participating schools. From January 2016-February 2016, all art works will be submitted on Facebook and best drawings and sculptures will be shortlisted for an exhibition. Finally, in March, the exhibition will be held alongside the NGO booths to further increase awareness of endangered wildlife to the public. We will also be showing videos by NGOs and the process of the artwork shops that have been conducted. There will also be fun games for children to win prizes on that day.
