Our first graders have created and constructed an outdoor garden. We would like to add decorations to our garden. We are seeking funding for supplies to create mosaic stepping stones, bird baths and bird feeders. The stepping stones will provide our students with the chance to create art to decorate the garden. The bird feeders and bird baths will provide students with the opportunity to observe wildlife within their environment.
Our students will create and construct the bird feeders and bird bath(s). They will also have the opportunity to decorate these to add color to our garden. Students will also construct and decorate mosaic stepping stones that will beautify our garden space. They will be given the opportunity to be creative and use their imagination to create a mosaic design. Our school is located within a neighborhood community and the garden is accessible to the community. The students will be able to share this project with their family, peers and community. Our hope is to create a space that inspires the students and the surrounding community.
