The Problem
The issue is homeless animals wandering our communities, and the lack of adoptions from the homeless animal shelters causing overpopulation within the shelters. In addition, the importance of having pets spayed / neutered needs to be more recognized for both stray and home pets. Many people don't know what spaying and neutering can do to help resolve this problem. Spaying and Neutering both stray and home pets makes it so they can't have any more offspring and add to the homeless animal problem. It's always heartbreaking to see these pets hurt/injured because they are in the wild without homes. This issue can be caused by animals reproducing in the wild, which leads to even more homeless cats/kittens and dogs/puppies.
