Eco Claw

  • Location
    Land O Lakes, Florida
  • Status
    Active
  • Age Level
    14 to 18 Years

The Problem

This underwater claw could help address the depletion of seagrass beds and the decline in fish populations. By planting seagrass, it restores critical habitats for marine life, improves water quality, and supports biodiversity. Releasing fish to designated areas helps repopulate ecosystems and maintain balanced marine populations.

Our Plan

The plan is to create a working prototype of a claw that can rotate, open, and close to handle seagrass beds, while also being waterproof. This will involve ordering electronic components and manufacturing parts, which can either be purchased online or made in-house.
