The Problem
Cherry Hill HS East Singers and Thespians host an annual Coffee House each year that raises funds and awareness for causes in our immediate community. This year is the 11th annual Coffee House event and we are proud to support our local Roots & Shoots chapter and specifically former East student, Amanda Kettering and her work with Chimp Aid! Our goal at every coffee house is to allow members of our school community to use their time and talents toward making a difference. This year is no exception! Environmental clubs from Cherry Hill schools, township groups, and various Cherry Hill East clubs will have the opportunity to make a difference in our world!
Our Plan
Coffee House will be held at Cherry Hill HS East (1750 Kresson Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08003) on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 7-10 pm. Admission of $5 will include your coffee or tea. Bring your own mug and receive a coupon for a free bake sale item! There will be entertainment on the auditorium stage all evening. In the cafeteria there will be the coffee/tea station, bake sale, food items from Chimp Aid Cafe, information tables and interactive activities that support sustainability and taking care of the earth, crafts for the kids, and pie the monkey in the face! There will also be a video game tournament for our gamers in the Little Theater! Those who wish to help support the event can contribute bake sale items (bagged to be sold for $1) and drop them off at the school cafeteria that day between 11 and 1. Anyone wishing to donate money but cannot attend the event can send a check payable to CHHSE c/o Laurie Lausi, 1750 Kresson Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. If you have any questions, please contact East Singer director/Coffee House Coordinator Laurie Lausi at Llausi@chclc.org. Traditionally this event brings in 500-900 attendees. Come be a part of this exciting East tradition!
