The Problem

How can we be earth friendly at home during COVID-19?

Our Plan

Create a video to share earth friendly environmental tips with our elementary school. At home we can recycle, use fabric paper towels, start a garden, compost, ride a bike or walk, conserve water, turn off lights and so much more!

Here is how the project went:

AWESOME! The video was featured in our school's virtual assembly.

Through this project I/we learned:

We learned how to work together as a team, research ways to be environmentally friendly at home and how to edit videos.

What I/we might change:

We were happy with the results of this project.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

The Lorax quote in the video. Each member of our Roots and Shoots Club was assigned a word and made a poster. They sent us the picture and we put them all together in a video. It was fun to have all of our members be part of the project even from home.

Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

It was important to be have a plan before creating the video for the school. We organized everything through a zoom meeting and assigned everyone a task. It was fun to have a project to work on even though we can't see each other at school.
