Drought Tolerant Garden Planting at Lugonia Elementary and Barbara Phelps School

The Problem

Our wish is to demonstrate drought tolerant garden landscapes to Roots and Shoots family members and friends to learn about and replicate in their own homes to reduce the effects of the drought in Southern California.

Our Plan

We received grants from the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District to plant 50 plants between two schools in the community. We successfully worked together to plant the drought tolerant and native plants in garden areas at Lugonia Elementary and Barbara Phelps County School.
