Declining tree cover and limited reforestation efforts continue to contribute to climate change, poor air quality, and loss of biodiversity. Our community needs more simple and organized ways for people to help plant trees and take part in long-term environmental efforts.
Through Deep Roots, I lead a student-driven initiative focused on raising funds and organizing tree planting efforts to support environmental sustainability. I organize community fundraisers and coordinate planting drives where students and volunteers actively participate in planting trees. To expand this work, I am organizing a tree planting initiative in Delaware in partnership with Delaware Nature Society. The goal is to increase local tree cover while engaging students in hands-on environmental action
