The Problem
Summer is coming and the children living in Westland are in need of a safe, loving, and community based place to spend their time. My organization wishes to provide a safe place for young people to create art, make music, conduct science experiments, and enjoy a snack or meal once a week.
Our Plan
Cultivating Creativity is working with the Wayne-Westland Community School District to create a summer enrichment program for the youth of Westland. Once a week, Wednesday evenings, we will host programs to engage the minds of young people. We are scheduled to begin the first week after school ends in June and continue until school resumes in August. We plan to host art classes, science nights, music classes, and special evenings with farm animals and community heroes. This program is free and students are welcome to join us for as many nights of enrichment as they wish.
