The Problem

A lot of inproper waste management was noticed in our community. We want to convey responsible consumption through a fun, and hands-on activity.

Our Plan

Introduction about waste management, and why waste management is crucial. Aligning with waste management sectors, students will be making crafts, such as jewelry out of litter. Facilitators will convey the importance of waste management in the form of fun, craft activities which solve waste issues, and encourage students to think of solutions to fix problems.

Here is how the project went:

It went well. Year 10 and year 11 students got to work with year 6 students, with a fun, and hands on activity to understand responsible consumption.

Through this project I/we learned:

We further explores sustainable consumption, and learned ways to convey it (hands on) to younger students.

What I/we might change:

We would make a fun, and engaging way to teach more theroy at the start of the session, and share more facts about real world consumption.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

Working with year 6 students and doing arts and crafts, depicting a larger issue.

Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

If working with other audinces, find a fun, hands on way to do the activity, and organization and preperation is essential.
