We are a small campus here at East Valley High School without a lot of green space. Last year I was able to start up a small garden on campus and the students have started to hang around the area. I think it would be great to be able to give the students an outdoor space to learn and reflect.
Our project here on campus will be an open green space for students to learn and take a break. The plan is to include native, drought resistant plants, a place for the students to sit, and some sort of water feature to encourage the students to relax and reflect. There is a space in the back of the school that is open and unused and could really use some beautification. Our plan is to take that space and make it useful again by planting plants, adding seating, and creating a restful space.
