The Problem

Our English class wants to connect their reading and analysis of Silent Spring by Rachel Carson to their world. The students want to hold an awareness event in the school, and in the future, to the greater community surrounding the school. They are concerned about many issues such as global warming, pollution, recycling and environmentalism.

Our Plan

Students walked the area around the school. The next activity is mapping the community with paper and digital maps. It is an important activity for our students to expand their view of the world and make connections to it.
