The Problem
My wish for this project is that we reduce the amount of waste that we put into our garbage here at the school and turn it into something that people can use for something beneficial to the community.
Our Plan
We will create an awareness campaign that we have too much waste here at the school and that it can be reduced by composting some of it. To start we will be collecting compostable scraps from the culinary arts class and cafeteria kitchen. Using a compost tumbler to compost the materials and then package them for sale to staff and students to then use those fund to make the operation grow into something larger or branch out into another area of waste management such as recycling.
