The Problem

Spring of 2019 allowed us to rent an outdoor space in an old industrial, now central and visible part of town. Our space is in a busy, up-and-coming neighborhood surrounded by beautiful homes and sandwiched between the Clark Fork River and the Missoula railroad. The land we are renting was piled high with rusty old bicycles and bicycle parts, abandoned and lifeless. We want to clear that out and bring plants, pollinators, birds, people, art and life back into that space!

Our Plan

At the end of very visible 1st street in Missoula, Montana, we would love to implement a permaculture yard to reclaim the soil and demonstrate the power of plants. We want to hire a local mural artist to beautify the building. We want to build a large outdoor compost system to process urban food waste, educate locals on the power of composting, and give back finished soil to the city. We have big dreams and need some financial support.
