The Problem
This year, as a part of my NHS project, I am planning to teach dance lessons at a local YMCA, for free. These lessons are intended for those who cannot afford to attend an actual dance school. My goal is to use my extensive dance experience as a way to reach out and give back to other members of the community. Inspiration for this project comes from Misty Copeland, an acclaimed dancer who came from an unstable and struggling household, but found her passion for dance at charity ballet lessons. So, I hope to replicate and honor her story making dance available to everyone.
