The Problem

Our project will tackle the problem of waste locally. We plan on hosting community litter pickup days and assisting in clean-ups after large events in collaboration with the local science center and municipality. The purpose of this is to help participants visualize and begin to analyze the waste and litter that is created. Getting community members excited about this project will be the first way to introduce the much larger issue.

Our Plan

We will be gathering and examining data of the litter that our group picks up. After it is conglomerated we will be able to characterize it and weigh it. The final weights will help us for a final analysis of impact.
