We want to help the environment and our community. We've witnessed biodiversity loss in our county; we also know of a low-income elder community in need of kindness and compassion. We plan to grow native plants for our pollinators, with a portion of flowers going to our elder community each week.
Our group will grow pollinator gardens at their homes or community gardens to help spread beneficial plants throughout our community. Each week, we will gather some of the flowers to give to elders in our county nursing home who do not have family or visitors. Our approach will help the environment and our pollinator friends throughout the county, and we will also help low-income communities by sharing seeds, and our elder community through our service project of delivering flowers each week.
