Community Canal Clean Up

The Problem

This is a student initiated clean up project of a canal that runs by our school and eventually empties in to Hillsborough Bay then to Tampa Bay.

Our Plan

The 5 girls who proposed the plan to a teacher got a response from Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and the Environmental Protection Commission. Our PTSO is helping to recruit volunteers. Our project will pull debris from the canal on Saturday, April 27th of 2019. We hope to get a "water goat" to catch further debris from traveling down stream from our location.
