The Problem

We aim to create cleaner parks, schools, and neighborhoods by raising awareness about proper waste disposal. Litter should always be placed in trash cans, and pet waste bags should be disposed of in designated containers not left in parks or among bushes. Together, we can help protect our environment and keep our communities clean.

Our Plan

Our action focuses on keeping our surroundings clean and educating people about proper waste disposal, especially pet waste. Trash should always go in designated bins, and dog waste must be placed in the appropriate containers to help protect our environment and community spaces.

Here is how the project went:

Students in different locations were surprised by the amount of litter they found. Many expressed concern about why people throw pet waste bags into bushes in parks or even in neighborhoods. Through this experience, they are learning that, as a community, we all share the responsibility to educate others about the impact of littering.

Through this project I/we learned:

We learned that there is still so much to do to protect the environment, starting within our own communities.

What I/we might change:

When we carry out this project again, we will place signs in communities and parks to remind people to dispose of pet waste bags in proper containers or take them home to throw away. We will also encourage everyone not to litter in streets and neighborhoods.
