The Problem
The Monarch butterfly species has been in decline due to habitat loss for the host plant milkweed. We have installed a small garden on campus and want to add additional sites in the community around the school building.
Our Plan
If awarded funds we will add plants to campus garden and plant milkweed in sites identified around the school building. Milkweed will be monitored for monarch activity and students will post to the Journey North website sitings at the various locations. This data will be added to our existing data from the campus location.
