The Problem

Here is how the project went:

The event was a success , a lot of people came to the tables to do crafts and decorate ornaments and cookies, every participant got cake and a Christmas present.

Through this project I/we learned:

Every volunteer activity enriches our sense of purpose, this experience teaches us to be friendlier and more caring individual specially because we need to find special ways to communicate con the special needs population. People with disabilities are not that different than the rest of us, they want the same things , to be accepted and loved unconditionally.

What I/we might change:

We would love to continue doing this project every year and maybe add more physical activities outdoors , be able to have more games and prizes.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

Smile faces all around and the sense of community like any other. Everyone support each other and make effort to communicate.

Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

Challenge yourself , put yourself in situations that takes you out of your comfort zone , the results might just surprise you and definitely will learn new skills for life.
