The Problem
Our goal is to teach children about the lifelong work and accomplishments of Dr. Goodall in honor of her birthday. We hope to further enable and empower the kids by participating in projects based on Dr. Goodall's inspiring and groundbreaking work and help with her goal of youth working together toward a brighter, more sustainable future.
Our Plan
We will have a special Dr. Goodall Day at the Mid-America Science Museum devoted to teaching youth about her life, work, accomplishments, and goals for the future. We will read several books about her and let the kids choose an activity they would like to emulate as Dr. Jane did in the Gombe. Observational skills with handmade binoculars will be a project in which they get to search areas around the museum they think they might find a chimp! After a day of learning and creating birthday cards for Dr. Goodall, the kids will celebrate!
