The infrastructure for the project is made up of four parts designed to first address the children’s cultural and heritage needs through a program that will provide an enriching educational experience that empowers African Americans and others to become self-confident and others mindful of black history and compassionate individuals. The second link in the Catch-Up project is the technical component, the Raspberry Pi a credit-card-sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard built by the child. It is a capable little computer which will be the focus of student electronic projects, and for many of the things that a desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word processing, browsing internet, and playing games. It also plays high-definition video. The third link of the technical approach is equipping and training the students in the use of 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tablet. The fourth link is making gospel piano lessons available for selected students because the churches in Chester have a dire need to replace the aging artist of this great music form.
