The Problem

Cat Kids Rescue, a local non-profit organization dedicated to finding homes for neglected cats and reliving stress of local shelters, hopes to expand operations, space, and volunteers to increase be rescue more cats a year. Cat Kids Rescue holds roughly about 50 cats at a time and usually accomplishes 10-15 adoptions a week. Each week 5-15 more cats are rescued from shelters, where they will receive more individual attention and care at the Cat Kids Rescue until they are adopted. Cat Kids Rescue primary wish is to be able to house more cats and kittens and to be able increase the number of weekly adoptions, and to have an official building, to allow founder, Phyllis Combs, to have a separate operation outside of her home.

Our Plan

Cat Kids Rescue will open a new building that will allow the rescue to house over 200+ cats at a time, more than double of the number of cats they current house. The added space will also assist Cat Kids Rescue's partners SPCA Tampa Bay and Pinellas County Animal Services, because the rescue will be able to rescue more cats from these organization, which will open more room for other animals and allow each animal to have more attention and care. Cat Kids Rescue is planning on holding fundraisers and events to raise money for the building.
