I wish to connect all the environmental clubs in Alameda to form a coalition of high schools and middle schools.
Our Plan
My project will create a city-wide committee of high school students dedicated to protecting Alameda's environment and keep Alameda an island above sea-level. Our mission is to work on city-level projects as a coalition of high schools, advising city officials as youth representatives, providing input to the Climate Action and Resiliency Plan (CARP), and educating students on climate change. Additionally, we will reduce Alameda’s carbon emissions to 25% below 2005 levels by the year 2020.
