The Problem
As of December 5, 2011, disposal of rechargeable batteries as solid waste is prohibited in New York. The Roots & Shoots students learned about the dangerous impact on the environment when lithium and cadmium not recycled properly. We decided to participate in a free recycling program Call2recycle.
