The Problem
Our wish for this project is to brighten the people of McLean's day in hope that they, in return, sprea the love by making someone else's day.
Our Plan
As part of The Brooksfield School’s Spread the Love Campaign in honor of Valentine’s Day, students, families, and staff members placed stones around McLean, Virginia with encouraging messages. When someone in the community finds a stone, they take a picture with the hashtag #BrooksfieldSpreadstheLove and post it to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The goal of this campaign is for someone in the community who may be having a rough day to find a message of hope and love on a library shelf. Or finding wisdom while walking down a peaceful path and coming upon a call to be yourself. Other messages include “You are Enough”, “Love One Another”, and “Be the Light”. The love spreads by creating a chain reaction from school, to community, and the world through social media. Be on the lookout for a stone!
