Due to COVID-19, Senior Living Center has been locked down. Due to COVID-19, our \"Joy of Music\" group stopped in person visiting the elderly communities at this moment, however, our care for the Elderly continue. How could we still bring music to the elderly?
Instead of bringing Live Music to the senior center, I and my Joy of Music made virtual music for the Elderly to Celebrate March, Easter and May, sharing culture & music with the elderly.
It went very well. Young performers practice, record his/her video with the help from his/her parents. Young volunteers creates her own greeting cards, takes photos before dropping off at my house. I am compiling all recordings together in orders, making theme for March, Spring and May while compiling/edit recordings.
I learned new skill: how to compile lots of individual recordings. How to edit video to serve the purpose/theme.
Remind young volunteer paying attention to the background of recording at home, raising his/her voice, speak louder and slower, and smile to the camera. All of those will be very helpful when it comes to edit videos and compile recordings together for the theme.
