Celebrating diversity through books while increasing awareness of the challenges students around us face
Our Plan
After-school book club where each child reads a book about challenges students around them face (hunger, undocumented status, homelessness, etc.) Each child summarizes a book for the other students and questions are asked about how students can help those who are like each of the main characters.
