The Problem
I wish for my project to reduce food waste and help teach students about nature and science in fun and interesting way.
Our Plan
I want to start a school compost garden using Black Soldier Flies. They are a non nuisance fly that devour organics (including meat!). They can either be released or fed to chickens or fish as a high protein organic food source. This will reduce food waste from the cafeteria and help students get involved and engaged in community development, science, and nature.
