We want to educate our community on the importance of water filtration and the impact it has on our lives and other lives around the globe. We also want to promote a cleaner environment for our community by making the filter bicycle powered.
We are building a bike powered water filtration system. The system consists of a bike, a clean water tank, a dirty water tank, a pump, a filter, and a generator. When the bike is being pedaled the generator is turned. When the generator is turned electricity is created. The electricity created by the generator powers the pump. The pump pulls the water from the dirty water tank and pushes it through the filter to the clean water tank and voila!
