The Problem
We hope to showcase how a school garden can engage a community and provide a space for exploration, sustainable solutions, and decrease the human and environmental impact of carbon in the atmosphere.
We hope to showcase how a school garden can engage a community and provide a space for exploration, sustainable solutions, and decrease the human and environmental impact of carbon in the atmosphere.
Through community workshops hosted on our campus, we will provide educational opportunities for community members to learn how to grow their own food and plant trees to help sequester carbon. We will focus on soil maintenance, permaculture design, and seasonal gardening. Activities will include, seed bomb making, community composting, integrated pest management techniques, and soil building techniques.
