Sacramento area is home to many wildflowers and plants that attract and sustain bees and butterflies (among other pollinators). However, climate change and loss of habitat have led to challenges for both the native plants and the pollinators that depend upon them.
Our students have been donated a space in the Koobs Nature Area (an educational trust) where we can cultivate a bio-diverse space of native plants that can attract and provide habitat for Bees and Butterflies. This space will aid our students in learning about our natural environment and local eco-system.
