Here is how the project went:
Students were able to collaborate on a project and come to consensus quickly. COVID-19 interrupted the completion of the project, and remote participation was impractical. Sponsor completed a bat house on behalf of the team.
Through this project I/we learned:
How to collaborate, hoe to seek expert opinions and community support
What I/we might change:
We would definitely not be interrupted by COVID-19!
My/our favorite part of this project was:
The creativity of students making pompom bats inexpensively with the intent to sell them to make money for materials for bat houses.
Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:
Engaging the community and seeking speakers from a local cave attraction to speak to kids was nice for a local connection--even if the delivery was interrupted.
