The Problem
The following are the objectives of the “Art Program for Foster Kids”: Full access into the art/cultural world as any other child may have in Oregon. Inspire Foster children to explore their own creativity. Explore and developing art through a wide array of mediums, drawing, painting, sculpture, crafting, edible culinary art, chalk art for “living in the moment” To link why studying hard in school, by reading, writing, math and science are so important in relationship to art in their everyday lives. Develop leadership and “Empathy” skills by sharing, sometimes creating art for someone else less fortunate than themselves, or just to make someone else smile. Ultimately a child will have lots of fun and discover a new way to bring more happiness to their lives.
