The Problem

I teach ancient civilizations and I'm looking to connect book learning with real world experiences. The Agricultural Revolution changed how people lived. I'd like students to explore different types of seeds gathered and pre-packaged to see what grows. I'd like to teach students to garden so that they can see how much fun it is to grow and EAT your own food. I loved the mapping tools your website provides!

Our Plan

This leads into the geographical discussion of why and where civilizations develop! Through the planting of different seeds, students would observe and discuss how difficult it would be as a Hunter/Gatherer to start growing seeds. And how easy it is with prepackaged seeds! Student can share the project at a Family Night. Hopefully we can have our produce as snacks!
