The Problem
My wish for this project is to make a worthy contribution towards raising the consciousness globally on the poaching crisis in Africa, and inspire people from all walks of life to get involved and take action.

My name is Jamie Joseph. I am a writer, campaigner and environmental activist. I was born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa. In 2009 I moved to New Zealand, and now five years later I am returning home, to the call of the wild, the place that knows the sound of my heart from the inside. The mission: Starting in October, I will be hosted by IAPF – International Anti Poaching Foundation, spending 30 days in the trenches, sharing stories and inspiring people with calls to action, because everyone can do something to help save them. Between now and the start of the Africa mission in October I will be interviewing a dozen of the world’s most respected thought leaders engaged in the poaching crisis, beginning with Jane Goodall on the 24th of June. I am creating a network of global media and strategy partners to syndicate the stories I will be writing, the website savingthewild.com will become rolling narrative, and everything I do will be plugged into social media. I come as one, but I stand as 10 000. www.savingthewild.com
