The Problem
Straub Environmental Center's wish for this project is to bring awareness and respect to the water cycle and to bring sustainability and stewardship to the Willamette Valley Community.
Our Plan
Roots and Shoots kids are learning about the water cycle and the importance of sustainability and restoration of our waterways. Children will be gathering a sponsor and painting a recycled rain barrel to be utilized by their sponsor to gather rain for a sustainable use. Our project will bring awareness to the water cycle and show our stewardship to protect our waterways along with promoting sustainability for the Willamette Valley. This will be accomplished by children inspiring adults to create sustainable lifestyles into their daily lives.
